Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Serenity and other ceremonial matchas?
Serenity is our grand cru ceremonial matcha, the most refined in our collection. It is made from the most tender and finest leaves of the first harvest, carefully selected and ground more slowly to preserve all their aromatic richness.
The result? An exceptionally silky texture, a unique depth of taste and no bitterness.
Serenity stands out for its perfect balance between sweetness and intensity, offering a rare tasting experience — that of an exceptional matcha, to be savored like a grand cru.
Is Serenity organic?
Yes, Sérénité is JAS certified, the Japanese equivalent of organic certification. It is therefore grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, according to Japanese organic standards. In fact, all our matchas meet these same requirements to offer impeccable purity and quality.
How to consume Serenity?
Serenity can be enjoyed as a koicha (thick and intense preparation), as an usucha (lighter and airier) or as a latte.
Each reveals a different facet of its character: in usucha, its sweetness and umami are fully expressed; in koicha, it unveils its depth and velvety texture.
To preserve all its aromatic subtlety, it is best to avoid it in sugary drinks or with a sweetener, which would risk masking its delicacy.
Does matcha contain caffeine?
There are approximately 30 to 35 mg of caffeine per gram, or 60 to 70 mg for a typical 2g dose. This is equivalent to an espresso, but without the jittery spike: L-theanine slows down absorption and promotes calm and prolonged alertness.
Can I drink matcha every day?
Yes, no problem. Up to 2 to 3 cups a day if you tolerate it well. It's stimulating without being overstimulating, making it an excellent alternative to coffee, especially in the morning or before work requiring concentration.
